AccesSportAmerica, a national, non-profit founded in 1995 by Rev. Ross Lilley, inspires higher function and fitness for children and adults of all disabilities through high-challenge sports.

In achieving this mission, AccesSportAmerica:

  • Engages over 1,500 athletes our High-Challenge Sports program - adaptive windsurfing, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing, kayaking, rowing, cycling, soccer, tennis, climbing with 70% participating year round in - and Personal Training and Conditioning with Sports program - all designed to achieve higher function and fitness.

  • Offers Travel Camps, intensive one-two week program in Guatemala, Florida, California and Massachusetts for 60 athletes and instructors.

  • Provides $260,000 in free, year round programs - our City Street program - for underserved, economically challenged urban youth in partnership with the Boston Public Schools.

  • Accommodates all disabilities and creates/develops nationally recognized Adaptive Equipment, the first to adapt for windsurfing.

  • Collaborates with professional experts to develop/implement the AccesSportAmerica Performance Evaluation Tool©, to document physical, cognitive and social changes.

  • Depends on the generosity and support of individuals, corporations and foundations to raise $900,000 annually as well as on significant gifts in-kind.
